Delmarva Christian Schools Welcomes Chloe Hackett as High School Principal

Delmarva Christian Schools is delighted to announce the appointment of Chloe Hackett as High School Principal. Hackett brings over 13 years of diverse educational experience to her new role, showcasing a robust background in teaching, administration, and student engagement.

“I firmly believe that every believer is called to win souls and make disciples. I have committed to that personally and I am excited to be given a position where I can unapologetically proclaim Christ and help others serve Him with all their heart, soul and mind.” - Principal Chloe Hackett

Principal Hackett began her educational journey at Loyola University Maryland, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with minors in Spanish and Secondary Education. She furthered her education with a Master’s in Teaching English as a Second Language from Salisbury University and recently completed the Administrator I Cohort Program at Goucher University.

Hackett’s career in education began at Cambridge South Dorchester High School, where she taught Spanish 1, 2, and 3. In 2018, she began teaching math, including Algebra 1, Integrated Mathematics, and Consumer Finance, until 2023.  During her tenure, she identified at-risk students and implemented personalized intervention plans, leading to significant student success. In 2023, Hackett transitioned to Maple Elementary School in Cambridge, MD, as an Assistant Principal. In this role, she assisted in the leadership and management of the school, conducted teacher observations, performed evaluations, organized support plans for students, and handled disciplinary matters with integrity. She worked closely with families and mental health professionals to connect students with beneficial services and led initiatives to improve classroom management and student engagement.

“Principal Hackett’s passion for education, innovative approach, and commitment to student success, only rivaled by her love for Jesus, make her an invaluable addition to our school community,” Matt Kwiatkowski, DCS Head of Schools. “We are confident that her leadership will inspire both students and faculty and further elevate the educational standards at Delmarva Christian Schools."
