Delmarva Christian Schools, a Christian school system with campuses in Milton and Georgetown, is delighted to announce the appointment of Sarah McGuinness as the new Director of the Early Learning Center. With a strong passion for early childhood education and an unwavering commitment to serving others, Sarah McGuinness brings a wealth of experience and dedication to her new role.
Sarah McGuinness is a devoted educator who finds purpose in using her gifts to positively impact the lives of young learners. Throughout her career, she has been drawn to non-profit organizations that work diligently to meet the needs of the community. She believes that her calling to Delmarva Christian Schools aligns with her mission to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students and their families.
Reflecting on her decision to join Delmarva Christian, Sarah expressed, "I feel that God has called me to Delmarva Christian to use the gifts He has given me to do good things in the lives of others. I also have found my career experiences fulfilling when they have been at a non-profit organization that was working for the greater good of the needs in a community."
With a passion for education and a heart for service, Sarah McGuinness is well-equipped to lead the Early Learning Center at Delmarva Christian Schools. Her experience and dedication are evident in her impressive background, which includes a BA in Early Childhood Education and Communications from Kean University in New Jersey.
Sarah's extensive experience in the field of early childhood education includes roles such as a Preschool Teacher in an Abbott Preschool from 2003 to 2006, Director or Assistant Director at KinderCare Centers from 2006 to 2017, and Lead Teacher and Mentor at UNOW at Princeton University from 2017 to 2019. Most recently, she served as a Preschool Teacher at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic School in Berlin, MD, from 2019 to 2023.
Sarah McGuinness has been recognized for her outstanding achievements with various awards and certifications. She holds P-3 and K-8 Standard teaching certificates, and she is a proud member of Lambda Pi Eta, the National Communication Association's official honor society of colleges and universities. Her commitment to education and community involvement is further demonstrated by her service as a teacher representative on the UNOW Board of Trustees.
In addition to her dedication to education, Sarah brings a delightful aspect to her personality as she shares, "Fun Fact - I am a fraternal twin!" This unique trait showcases the warmth and approachability that she brings to her interactions with both students and staff.
