Grandparents Day: A Celebration of Faith, Family, and the Eternal King

Last week, our students took the stage for a very special Grandparents Day performance titled Long Live the King. It was a morning filled with joy, music, and heartfelt moments as our students honored the grandparents and special guests who play such an important role in their lives.

What made this program even more meaningful was its timing — just before Easter weekend. The title alone, Long Live the King, echoes the heart of the Easter story: that Jesus Christ is not only the risen Savior but the eternal King who reigns forever. Throughout the performance, themes of hope, redemption, and victory over death were woven through each song and scripture reading, reminding us of the powerful truth of the resurrection.

It was beautiful to see students proclaim these promises in front of the very people who have prayed over them, encouraged them, and passed down stories of faith through generations. Easter is a story worth telling — and what better way to celebrate than with a room full of families united by God’s grace.

As we move into Easter weekend, we’re grateful for moments like these that remind us of the life, hope, and promise we have in our risen King. Long Live the King!
