Testify! Impact! Shout! | Spiritual Emphasis Day 2025
On March 19, 2025 middle and high school students stepped away from their typical school day and into a powerful time of worship, teaching, and fellowship during Spiritual Emphasis Day 2025. While middle school students spent the morning in an extended chapel time with breakout sessions on campus. The high schoolers engaged with this year’s theme—Testify! Impact! Shout!—calling students to boldly live out their faith, and what better place to do that than United Church in Milford, where we were graciously hosted for the day.
The incredible worship team from United Church, which includes our very own Jonas Matthews (current student) and Amaya Wright (DCHS alumna), led students in multiple praise and worship sessions, filling the room with an atmosphere of joy and surrender.
Throughout the day, students participated in breakout sessions designed to deepen their faith and help them connect with God on a personal level. They also had the privilege of hearing from two dynamic speakers:
- Nick Wake, Associate Pastor at United Church, shared his personal testimony and encouraged students to hear and respond to God's calling.
- Jim Peper, Pastor at Lighthouse Baptist Church, encouraged students to shine where they are and step confidently into their calling and reminded them of the importance of finding their purpose, place, and people in their walk with Christ.
Spiritual Emphasis Day is always a highlight of the year, offering students the opportunity to pause, reflect, and grow in their faith alongside their peers. We are deeply thankful to United Church and their incredible staff for welcoming us with open arms and making this day possible.
May the impact of Testify! Impact! Shout! continue to resonate in the hearts of our students as they return to their daily lives, equipped and encouraged to live out their faith boldly!
