Delmarva Christian High School All-Sports Banquet Celebrates Athletic Excellence
On May 20, Delmarva Christian High School hosted its highly anticipated All-Sports Banquet, a night dedicated to celebrating the accomplishments of the school's talented student-athletes. The evening was filled with pride and recognition as athletes from various sports were honored for their outstanding performance and dedication. Impressively, 71% of the student body participated in sports this year, showcasing the strong athletic involvement at DCHS.

Athlete of the Year: 
Journey Handy was named Female Athlete of the Year for her exceptional contributions to the basketball team. As the ESIAC Player of the Year and team captain, Journey led her team in scoring and assists, showcasing her leadership and talent. She also participated in the Blue-Gold Senior Game and played a role in the school's play, demonstrating her versatility and commitment.

Kasey Bell received the Male Athlete of the Year award, recognized for his multi-sport excellence. Kasey earned All-Conference honors in both soccer and basketball, served as the captain of the soccer team, and was a key player in baseball as a pitcher, leadoff hitter, and middle infielder earning honorable mention honors as Second Base and Utility player in DIAA Non-Conference. Known for his spiritual leadership, Kasey often led his teams in prayer and served as a DCHS Ambassador. He also took part in the school play, showing his engagement beyond athletics.

Athletic Director Matt McGinnis expressed his gratitude and pride, stating, "We truly have the best coaches in the state, and they are athlete-centered coaches focused on the whole player, spiritually and physically. Thank you to the parents for choosing to support Delmarva Christian and trusting us with your children."

The All-Sports Banquet was a celebration of the hard work, dedication, and sportsmanship of Delmarva Christian High School's athletes. The evening not only highlighted individual accomplishments but also the collective spirit of the Royals. Congratulations to all the award recipients and to the entire Royals community for an incredible year in sports.
