Delmarva Christian Schools Celebrates Spiritual Emphasis Day with UTurn: A Day of Renewal and Reflection
Delmarva Christian Schools (DCS) marked another successful Spiritual Emphasis Day, an annual event designed to foster spiritual growth and reflection among its student body. This year’s event, themed "U-Turn: Lukewarm Christianity and Repentance," brought students together for a day of worship, community, and introspection.
Held on March 20, Spiritual Emphasis Day saw students engaging in various activities aimed at deepening their spiritual understanding and connection. The day kicked off with breakout community group sessions where students had the opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions centered around the theme of lukewarm Christianity and the importance of repentance.
One of the highlights of the day was the inspiring praise and worship session led by DCS Advancement & Alumni Coordinator, Jason Matthews. Matthews, known for his dynamic worship and musical giftings, led students in uplifting praise and worship, setting the tone for a day focused on spiritual renewal.
In addition to praise and worship, students also participated in prayer sessions led by visiting pastors Jim Peper and Marc Hannah. Throughout the day, students had the opportunity to engage with their peers and mentors, discussing the challenges and opportunities presented by the theme of lukewarm Christianity. These conversations were instrumental in fostering a sense of community and mutual support among the student body.
As another Spiritual Emphasis Day comes to a close, the Delmarva Christian Schools community looks forward to carrying the spirit of renewal and reflection forward into their daily lives, embracing the challenge of turning away from lukewarm Christianity and embracing true repentance.
