Chloe Hackett brings over 13 years of educational experience to Delmarva Christian. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Loyola University Maryland, a Master’s in Teaching English as a Second Language from Salisbury University, and completed the Administrator I Cohort Program at Goucher University.

Hackett’s career in education began at Cambridge South Dorchester High School, where she taught Spanish 1, 2, and 3. In 2018, she transitioned to teaching math, including Algebra 1, Integrated Mathematics, and Consumer Finance, until 2023. During this time, she developed intervention plans for at-risk students, revitalized the Consumer Finance curriculum, and led the after-school tutoring program. In 2023, she became Assistant Principal at Maple Elementary School in Cambridge, MD, where she managed teacher evaluations, organized student support plans, and handled disciplinary matters.

Principal Hackett also served as the high school administrator for Dorchester County’s secondary summer school in 2020 and 2023, overseeing virtual programs and ensuring academic progress. Recognized for her dedication, Hackett was nominated for Rookie Teacher of the Year in 2011 and was a school finalist for Teacher of the Year in 2023. Her passion for education and innovative approach make her an invaluable asset to our school community.
