On Friday, April 4, 2025, Delmarva Christian High School students and staff stepped away from the classroom and into the community to serve others through Royals Service Day—an annual tradition rooted in faith, compassion, and hands-on love for neighbor.
Over 160 high school students and staff members ventured into surrounding communities to live out the school’s mission of servant leadership. With hearts ready to give and hands ready to work, the Royals served at several local locations including Sports at the Beach, Laurel, High Tide Church, Love INC in Seaford, Trap Pond State Park, the Town of Milton, and the campus of Delmarva Christian High School.
This day of service was more than just volunteer work—it was an opportunity for students to build character, teamwork, and empathy while making tangible contributions to the spaces and organizations that serve our region.
“Royal Service Day is truly unique day, one I’m so grateful to have been a part of. I’m thankful for this incredible team of individuals who step up to make things happen, fill in the gaps, and lead with dedication and patience,” Principal Chloe Hackett. “As we reflect on this year’s event, DCHS extends its heartfelt appreciation to all students, staff, volunteers, and community partners who made Royals Service Day 2025 a success.”
From mulching and planting to organizing, cleaning, and encouraging others, DCHS students demonstrated the core values that define a Royal: compassion, service, leadership, and faith in action. Delmarva Christian School requires students to complete 25 hours of service each academic year—but for the Royals, service isn’t just a requirement, it’s a way of life.
