Delmarva Christian School Students Embark on Retreats to Deepen Faith and Build Community

Delmarva Christian School, a Christ-centered educational institution serving students from infancy through grade 8 in Milton, DE, and high school students in Georgetown, DE, recently hosted two transformative retreats that encouraged spiritual growth and fostered deeper connections within the student body.

This year, middle school students ventured to Camp Arrowhead in Lewes, Delaware, for a retreat filled with team-building exercises, interactive Bible studies, and class bonding activities. During the retreat, students enjoyed inspiring praise and worship sessions led by the High School Royals Worship team, and heard powerful messages from guest speakers like Josh Bell of Solid Ground Church in Lewes, DE.
Meanwhile, the annual Freshman Retreat at Black Rock Retreat in Pennsylvania continued its tradition of providing ninth-grade students a chance to unplug from technology and focus on building relationships with peers, senior mentors, and faculty. The retreat featured multiple sermons from DCHS alumni Micah Magee, Youth Pastor at Ocean View Church of Christ, guiding students in their spiritual journeys over the course of the three-day experience.

The primary focus of both retreats was to create opportunities for God to move in the hearts of students, strengthening both their individual faith and sense of community. Students formed new friendships, strengthened existing ones, and experienced personal and spiritual growth through a variety of purposeful activities.

These retreats embody Delmarva Christian School's mission to provide a holistic education that nurtures both the heart and mind, fostering character development, spiritual growth, and lasting connections within the school community.
