Christie Betts, a 2012 graduate of Delmarva Christian High School, made her mark as a standout athlete during her four years as a DCHS Royal.
Christie Betts, a 2012 graduate of Delmarva Christian High School, made her mark as a standout athlete during her four years as a DCHS Royal. She was a multi-year ESIAC and Diamond State All-Conference selection in field hockey and earned ESIAC Conference MVP honors in 2011 as a junior. During her senior year, Christie was recognized with All-State honors and ranked as the third-best goalie in Delaware. She was named team MVP for field hockey in both 2011 and 2012 and capped off her high school career as DCHS’s Outstanding Female Athlete in 2012.
In addition to her achievements in field hockey, Christie contributed to the Royals’ basketball, lacrosse, and soccer teams. After graduating, Christie pursued a career in healthcare and is now a registered nurse at Beebe Hospital. She is also a proud wife and mother of two boys.
Christie is a longtime member of Abundant Life Church in Georgetown, where she has attended nearly her entire life. She serves in the children’s ministry, and also runs the church’s deliverance ministry, playing an essential role in supporting others in their spiritual journeys.
