Tanya Schuler's journey to Delmarva Christian School is a testament to faith and dedication. During the challenging times of the pandemic, she sought a teaching position that would allow her to connect with students face-to-face. The very next day, a friend told her about an opening at Delmarva Christian, and Tanya knew that God had led her here.

With an impressive teaching career spanning five years at Indian River High School, twelve years at Sussex Technical High School, and two years at Milford High School, Tanya brings a wealth of experience to her classroom. She has taught Spanish I through AP levels, as well as English 9, 10, and 12, and English as a Foreign Language.

What does Ms. Schuler love most about her role at DCS? "Delmarva Christian Schools gives me the unique opportunity to not only teach Spanish, but also to help my students grow spiritually."

Tanya's first job, as a lifeguard at a Korean Church Camp in the Pocono Mountains, opened her eyes to different cultures and languages, sparking a lifelong love for diversity. This passion extends to her travels, with Costa Rica standing out as one of her favorite destinations due to its rich biodiversity.
Outside the classroom, she enjoys a variety of outdoor activities, including gardening, archery, biking, and swimming.

One of Schuler's favorite teaching moments is when she introduces the imperfect tense to her Spanish III students, engaging with them as they share stories from their early childhoods. Her commitment to education and her students' spiritual and personal growth makes her an invaluable member of the Delmarva Christian community.
