“For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.” Matthew 18:20
On August 18 the staff at DCS gathered to kickoff the 2021-2022 school year. After a powerful year in 2020-2021 that required planning, flexibility, and unity from staff and the greater DCS community the all staff inservice felt like a well earned respite. The leadership and staff at DCS are determined and thrilled for the opportunity to provide excellent christian education to our new and returning students.
After a year of record growth in both enrollment and retention, DCS now employs close to 100 full and part time staff. “Delmarva Christian Schools has been blessed with regional interest in Christian education driving a growth in enrollment numbers“, DCS Head of School, Principal 9-12 Matt Kwiatkowski, “with that same piqued interest we have also attracted highly qualified staff who desire to work in a faith filled environment where they can experience Christ.”
The annual full staff inservice began with impactful praise and worship by Fine Arts and Performing Arts leader Mrs. Shannon Matthews. Shannon was joined by Jason Matthews and DCMC music teacher, Anna West. Worship was followed by engaging sessions on this year’s school wide theme and how educators and staff could apply the theme in the classroom and community. After the training the staff on each campus were given the opportunity independently plan and prepare for the upcoming semester.
DCHS will open its doors to new students for orientation on Tuesday, August 17 while DCMC kicks off the school year on Wednesday, August 25. We invite you to pray alongside DCS for the staff, students, community, and our nation.
