On Thursday, October 12, 2017, Delmarva Christian Schools (DCS) held their 16th Annual Student Scholarship Banquet at Delmarva Christian High School’s Arts and Athletic Center in Georgetown, Delaware. Over 350 guests gathered to enjoy incredible dining from Marilyn’s Catering, wonderful fellowship, testimonies from DCS community members and alumni, and entertainment provided by the DCS Worship Ensemble. The evening concluded with messages delivered by Chick-fil-A Manager in Customer Experience and grandson of Chick-fil-A founder Truett Cathy, Mr. Mark Cathy, as well as former international softball player, Olympic gold medalist, physician, and current Head Softball Coach at Liberty University, Dr. Dot Richardson.

The DCS Student Scholarship Banquet serves to support their Accessible Tuition Program (ATP), providing the opportunity for more families access to an excellent Christ-centered education by calculating a tuition rate that matches each family’s unique financial situation. ATP positively impacts 40% of Delmarva Christian’s student body. Without this program, these students would not have had the financial resources necessary to attend Delmarva Christian Schools. To date, funds raised from this year’s Banquet has topped $250,000.

The mission of Delmarva Christian Schools is to proclaim the gospel by preparing students spiritually, academically and physically to know and do God’s will in their lives.
