Delmarva Christian Schools celebrated another successful Student Scholarship Banquet on Friday, October 18, with over 500 guests in attendance and exceeding this year’s goal by raising more than $300,000 for student scholarships.

“I’m so grateful for the community of support that God has blessed Delmarva Christian Schools with,” said DCS Director of Advancement Justin Savini. “The level of generosity we experienced at this event is inspiring and I’m so honored to be a part of it.”

With A & E’s Duck Dynasty star Jase Robertson as the Banquet guest speaker, the evening began with over 130 people to include many sponsors attending a special Meet and Greet, followed by a dinner prepared for all by Marilyn’s Catering. After dinner, Senator Dave Wilson conducted a lively auction of four signed Duck Commander Duck Calls and a beautiful student performance highlighting this year’s school theme Love in Action was given.

Delmarva Christian’s 2019-2020 school theme Love In Action was the inspiration for the students’ performance at the October 18 Scholarship Banquet.

“Jase graciously donated and signed four of the best calls Duck Commander makes for us to auction off,” said Savini. “That auction alone yielded an additional $5,800 that will provide more students desiring an excellent Christian education the opportunity to enroll at Delmarva Christian.”

Guests were then treated to the gospel-centric message delivered by Jase Robertson. A DCHS Alumni update and a giving opportunity concluded the evening.

Prior to taking to the stage, DCHS students Molly Catherine Pugh, Olivia Owens, Seth Stevens, and Noah Walton pray over this year’s Banquet guest speaker–A & E’s Duck Dynasty star Jase Robertson.

“DCS prides itself on offering excellent Christian education and has a desire to make this education accessible to families regardless of their financial situation. This is not possible without the abundant generosity of the community that surrounds and supports us,” Savini said. “I’m humbled by the level of support our community provides to make the mission of DCS a reality.”
