Gearing up for the 2020-2021 school year, Delmarva Christian Schools is pleased to announce the addition of two new members to the Royals family.
With computer systems engineering, information security, audio, video, and lighting experience, Garrett Anderson brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise as the school’s new IT Specialist.
“I am excited to help take Delmarva Christian to the next level with technology,” said Mr. Anderson.
The desire of Mr. Anderson is to add 150 new Chromebooks to the existing 56 at Delmarva Christian’s Milton Campus. Additionally, he plans to replace the high school’s mobile MacBook lab as well as the iMac lab used for courses in Digital Design Media, Photography, and Yearbook. Other items he will address include SMART Board projector package updates, lighting and sound equipment upgrades, and the acquisition of a multi-camera streaming system.
“The streaming system will allow us to live stream our graduation ceremony this summer and our weekly Chapel services starting in the fall,” said Mr. Anderson. “We’re also excited at the prospect of streaming a majority of our sporting events that will enable our parents and grandparents to watch remotely. Not only will it benefit those who might not be able to come to the games, but it will also benefit student interns who will be working and learning to use industry-standard equipment.”
And, if that weren’t enough, Mr. Anderson is also interested in teaching a Production Technology J-term course, starting an AV club, and hosting professional development classes.
“I’m very interested in helping students and teachers,” continued Anderson. “Whether it is by providing new opportunities for our students or assisting teachers in developing and delivering innovative instruction methods, I am ready!”
Also joining Delmarva Christian is Wendy Kwiatkowski, the high school’s new Enrollment and Events Coordinator. A graduate of Wilmington Christian High School, and a mother who has her children attending Christian schools, Mrs. Kwiatkowski has been immersed in and has a love for Christian education.
“Delmarva Christian has been a huge blessing to our family over the past six years,” said Mrs. Kwiatkowski. “If you know me, then you know I have no problem sharing about how great Delmarva Christian is for those seeking an excellent, Christian education. It’s an honor to be able to give back to the school and serve in a more official way.”
In addition to her Christian education affiliation, Mrs. Kwiatkowski also graduated from Towson University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Management, and was Delaware’s first Elite Gymnast, and the first Delawarean to qualify for Championships of the USA. As a full scholarship Division I Gymnast, Mrs. Kwiatkowski was inducted into the TU Athletics Hall of Fame in 2002
Over the years, Mrs. Kwiatkowski has served as a NCAA Division I Assistant Gymnastics Coach, and has coached cheerleading, softball, and volleyball. She also has extensive event coordination and sales management experience.
Moreover, Mrs. Kwiatkowski is a follower of Christ, dedicated wife and mother of five, and seeks to love God, and in turn, demonstrates a great love for others. “I love listening and learning about others in order to help them heal, grow, and mature in their faith,” said Mrs. Kwiatkowski. “I have learned to persevere through adversity and overcome by the power and strength of my Lord and Savior. My years as a gymnast and mother have taught me discipline, time management, and self-confidence. I am so grateful to join the DCS staff and I look forward to how God will stretch me in this position.”
