Why Delmarva Christian?

I was drawn to the Christ-like community that Delmarva Christian offers its students and staff. With having young children of my own, I found a supportive, Christian environment that helps build and grow my relationship with God and helps me raise my children in a loving and Christ-like way.

“Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm” Proverbs 13:20.

How did you end up at Delmarva Christian?
I have been working in early childhood education as both a teacher and administrator for over five years and volunteering with my church nursery for well over ten years. I have a bachelor’s in environmental studies and public policy from University of Delaware, a master’s in environmental law and policy from Vermont Law and I am finishing up my master’s in elementary education with a certificate in special education from Wilmington University.

What is your favorite lesson to teach in class?
My favorite lesson for my students is our daily devotionals during circle time. It’s such a special part of our morning and I love seeing their little hearts open to God.

Favorite verse or passage?
My favorite bible verse is “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9
My favorite parable is the parable of the lost sheep because it shows us how worthy we are of His love.

Fun Fact?
I have 3 kids 3 and under… I know we’re crazy!
