Delmarva Christian is like a big family where I feel loved and appreciated for who I am. I know that my work family will support, pray for, and encourage me.

How did you end up at Delmarva Christian?

I was originally studying to be a music teacher and part way through my senior year I fell in love with teaching elementary students and changed my major to Elementary Education. I came to Delmarva after 5 years of teaching in the public schools. I felt very discouraged as a teacher when I first came to DCMC and if things hadn't worked out here I would have left education. I'm beyond thankful to God for bringing me here and restoring my passion for teaching. I refer to DCMC as my unicorn school!

What is your favorite lesson to teach in class?

I love to teach Math! I struggled to understand math as a student, but now I love to help students understand math and feel confident in the subject. I especially love to teach about fractions because it has so many real life applications.

I have a goal to visit one new place every year. I started this goal in 2011 and I've gone somewhere different every year since!
