Why Delmarva Christian?
The staff here is just amazing. We’re like a family. It’s a positive work environment. We support each other, pray for each other, and help each other. I also am happy to be able to openly discuss Jesus and the Bible with fellow staff and with my students.

How did you end up at Delmarva Christian?
I taught in this same building for almost 12 years when it was Eagle’s Nest Christian school. Then I had my daughter and was a stay at home mom for about 3 years. During that time the school became Delmarva Christian and I came back as a substitute teacher first, then I came back full time, due in part to the late and wonderful John Sadler. I have an associates degree in early childhood education and a bachelor’s degree in K-4.

What is your favorite lesson to teach?
I really enjoy teaching various math concepts and science concepts. We do a volcano science experiment that’s really fun. In math the money unit is fun. We get to use coins sets and practice counting money. Teaching the Passover lesson in Bible is a favorite too.

Favorite verse or passage?
Jeremiah 29:11

Fun Fact?
I am a published author and have had 2 poems published in 2 different poetry anthologies.
